Job summary

Serco invites an experienced Project Manager to join the PORTS program supporting Navy training systems in Middletown, RI. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage schedules, budgets, and deliverables while interfacing with customers and management.

Requirements include US citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 5 years of PM experience, familiarity with software development projects, and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and act as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status and budgets; review work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
