Job summary

Serco invites you to join the PORTS program team in Middletown, Rhode Island as a Project Manager. You will lead day-to-day project activities, coordinate with the Program Manager, customer, and project team, and ensure schedules, budgets, and DoD-compliant data items are delivered.

The role emphasizes risk mitigation, quality control, and proactive communication with Navy stakeholders while advancing software/hardware development efforts in a defense context.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Experience using MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaise between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status and budgets; review work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
