Job summary

The GBS Group is seeking an experienced electrical engineer with Navy background to develop and maintain control systems tailored to US Navy ships. This role involves designing PLC-based systems and reviewing ship drawings.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, at least two years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. The position offers a salary between $80,000 and $85,000, along with benefits including 401(k) with match, paid time off, and medical coverage.

Candidates must be ready for up to 35% travel throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with US Navy ship systems.
• At least 2 years of experience with PLC-based control systems.
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC-based control systems for US Navy ships.
• Review and update as-built ship and wiring drawings.
• Coordinate with team members locally and remotely.
