Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer to contribute to Navy mission readiness through high-fidelity modeling and simulation for AEGIS and SSDS systems. The role is based in Washington DC with local testing sites and requires an active Interim Secret clearance to begin, with ability to obtain Top Secret later.

You will develop Developmental Tests from formal requirements, perform MOE-driven analyses, and collaborate across teams (OTF/COTF) to verify simulations reflect live-fire

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.
• Minimum 2 years of direct experience with Navy combat systems (AEGIS/SSDS) or related programs.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance.
• Proficiency with Agile project management tools (Jira/Confluence).
• Experience with MBSE, digital engineering, systems-of-systems analysis, and test planning/execution for Navy combat systems.
• Exposure to high-fidelity simulation tools and TestBed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Provide Program Office management support.
• Use advanced modeling techniques to support Navy combat systems requirements (AEGIS, SSDS).
• Develop combat system Developmental Tests from formal requirements for the Unified TestBed.
• Conduct trade-off studies, test planning, and validation activities.
• Analyze test planning documents to establish MOEs and requirements.
• Collaborate across teams to certify simulation outcomes meet Navy performance data.
• Develop tailored TestBed solutions with a team of engineers.
