Job summary

Serco Inc. in Arlington, VA is hiring an Engineer to support the U.S. Navy's Amphibious Warfare program. You will perform basic engineering tasks, assist in program management, and help maintain technical manuals and craft specifications.

A DoD Secret clearance is required post-employment, and U.S. citizenship is mandatory. Domestic travel up to 10% may be necessary. Ideal candidates have an ABET‑accredited engineering degree or 5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with MS Office;

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required; substitutions allowed with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to shipyard or naval facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic program management support in scheduling, developing tracking metrics, and cost estimating.
• Assist the customer with coordinating meetings, discussions, and tracking action items.
• Track customer workload and flag priority issues for customer attention.
• Keep team planning tools up to date.
• Learn program processes and navigate the technical team through them.
• Perform basic engineering work including analysis, design, development, evaluation, planning, testing and operation.
