Job summary

Jobtailor in San Diego, CA seeks a cybersecurity and network support professional to patch vulnerabilities and remediate Navy afloat networks. You will troubleshoot shipboard LANs, perform root-cause analyses, and implement permanent changes.

Responsibilities include server/network break/fix, remote troubleshooting, and delivering briefs while coordinating with Active Duty personnel and government staff. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience supporting military network environments.
• Active DoD IAT Level II or higher certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely patching and remediation of cybersecurity vulnerabilities for Navy afloat network systems
• Provide break/fix IT support in shipboard environments and troubleshoot LAN issues
• Perform root-cause analysis and recommend permanent configuration or system changes
• Deliver server and network break/fix support, including remote troubleshooting of servers, networks, desktops, and peripheral devices
• Participate in technical meetings
• Prepare progress updates
• Deliver briefs and presentations as needed
• Work directly with Active Duty personnel and government staff to deliver repair and technical support for Navy afloat networks
