Job summary

SAIC is seeking a TACNET CB-ISEA Network Engineer (Fleet Support) to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This hybrid-remote position requires frequent onsite support aboard U.S. Navy ships, with travel up to 25% and occasional after-hours support.

The role covers patching cybersecurity vulnerabilities, break/fix IT support, and root cause analysis to improve Navy afloat networks. Requires 2+ years of related experience or 1+ with a Master’s, plus Cisco/Windows/Linux proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related experience, or Master’s with 1+ year; 4 additional years may substitute.
• 1+ years of experience supporting military network environments relevant to the responsibilities.
• Administration experience with Cisco switches/routers, Windows Server, or Linux.
• Working knowledge of core networking concepts and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Patch and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities for Navy afloat networks.
• Provide break/fix IT support in a shipboard environment and troubleshoot LAN issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend permanent configuration or system changes.
• Deliver server and network break/fix support, including remote troubleshooting.
