Job summary

Reliability & Performance Technologies (R&P) in Washington, DC, seeks a journeyman systems engineer to support the CPS program for the Navy. You will help design, develop, and integrate weapon and ship systems across surface ships and submarines in a fast-paced hybrid on-site/remote environment.

The role involves system design, integration, reporting, and collaboration with government personnel, prime contractors, and CPS program offices, with occasional travel and a likely security

Qualifications

• A master's degree in a relevant engineering field with at least 2 years of professional experience.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field with at least 5 years of professional experience.
• At least 8 years of demonstrated experience in Navy weapon systems/platform integration and Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide weapon system and ship system design and integration support to the CPS Program office.
• Participate in programmatic and technical meetings to plan, prepare, integrate, and execute CPS weapon systems installations and tests.
• Support CPS program government employees in systems engineering, detailed design, technology transition, interface design, and integration tasks.
• Develop technical reports, briefs, and presentations for reviews and executive meetings.
• Review, comment, and provide technical advice on technical documentation submissions from primes and developers.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for cost, schedule, and technical issues.
• Provide weekly reports on significant issues and actions.
• Period travel to various locations may be required.
