Job summary

Leidos' NATSC in Newport, RI seeks a Warehouse Material Handler to support logistics operations. This hands-on role offers training; no advanced degree required. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and on-the-job growth within Leidos' Defense Group.

You will load/unload, inspect and store materials, maintain inventory records, and operate hand trucks and pallet jacks. U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance is required; lifting up to 30 pounds is expected.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; Interim Secret to start.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance.
Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
Willingness to learn and follow procedures; strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Load and unload vehicles and transport materials safely throughout the facility.
Receive, inspect, issue, and store materials per procedures.
Maintain accurate inventory records using electronic and paper systems.
Perform daily inventory audits and cycle counts.
Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and powered material handling equipment.
Package and prepare materials for shipment.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
Follow all safety, quality, and security procedures.
