Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to support NATSC Newport, RI, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, and distribution of Navy towed sonar array components. The role involves loading, unloading, and handling materials with an emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Key duties include inspecting, issuing, and storing materials, performing daily cycle counts, and maintaining clean, organized warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. An Interim Secret clearance is required to begin employment.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn, accept training, and follow established procedures.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles and transport materials safely throughout the facility.
• Receive, inspect, issue, and store materials in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using both electronic and paper‑based systems.
• Perform daily inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and powered material handling equipment.
• Package and prepare materials for shipment.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow all safety, quality, and security procedures.
