Job summary

Leidos Inc. at NATSC Newport seeks a Warehouse Material Handler to load/unload, inspect, and manage materials across the facility. You will maintain inventories, perform cycles and audits, and ensure safety, quality, and secure handling of items.

Responsibilities include operating pallet jacks and hand trucks, packaging for shipment, and keeping an organized workspace. Training is available; U.S. citizenship and clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance; Interim Secret required to start.
• Willingness to learn, train, and follow procedures.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Prior warehouse experience is helpful but not required; training provided.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard office equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles and transport materials safely throughout the facility.
• Receive, inspect, issue, and store materials in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using both electronic and paper-based systems.
• Perform daily inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and powered material handling equipment.
• Package and prepare materials for shipment.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow all safety, quality, and security procedures.
