Job summary

NDI Engineering Company in Lakehurst, NJ is seeking a qualified engineer to join a team delivering Navy software and system updates. You will develop and maintain integrated software aligned with Navy architecture, requirements and policies, in a development and test environment.

The role involves systems engineering support, software testing, documentation, and life cycle activities, with travel for shipboard installations and a focus on cybersecurity and secure coding practices. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems from an accredited institution.
• CompTIA Security+ or Secure C++ is highly desirable.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain an active DoD security clearance; Lakehurst, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development/modification of ship design specifications and review user system specifications.
• Provide engineering support for network products for labs, proof-of-concept demonstrations, and fielded shipboard systems.
• Assist in System Software Testing: testing, installs/configuration, travel for ship SW installs, cyber security certification can be obtained after hire.
• Participate in Life Cycle System Support: program reviews, technical meetings, and documentation for operation and maintenance of mission-critical Data Networks.
• Develop, modify, enhance, and test software for Test Sites and Shipboard with secure coding practices.
