Job summary

NDI Engineering is seeking candidates in Lakehurst, NJ for a Computer Engineer to join a high-energy team delivering updated naval systems.

The role focuses on developing and maintaining an integrated software system aligned with Navy architecture, requirements, and policies, with emphasis on software design, testing, and lifecycle support in lab and shipboard environments. Candidates will participate in system reviews, documentation, and security-conscious software development.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of computer engineering experience in development and test environments.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Working knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies related to shipboard software control.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development/modification of ship design specifications and review user system specs.
• Provide engineering support for networks and software for labs, demos, and shipboard systems.
• Perform software testing, installs, configuration, and travel for ship SW installs.
• Participate in system program reviews, technical reviews, and documentation development.
• Develop, modify, test software for Test Sites and Shipboard following secure lifecycle practices.
