Job summary

Noblis, Inc. in Philadelphia is seeking Software Engineers to support the DDG-51 Machinery Control System for Navy ships. You will develop, maintain, and deliver software, interface with Navy personnel, and support the full software life cycle.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 0–3 years in C/C++/C#, DoD Secret clearance or potential, U.S. citizenship, and ability to travel about 10% of the time. On-site work in Philadelphia with potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering preferred).
• 0–3 years of experience in software development using C, C++, and/or C#; internships or academic projects acceptable.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to achieve DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship.
• Must have a valid US passport or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of the DDG-51 Machinery Control System.
• Design, develop, test, install, and maintain Machinery Control Systems software and supporting software products.
• Work with Microsoft Visual Studio and version control (Git).
• Identify and document software and system related problems.
• Resolve software problems through debugging, research, and investigation.
• Provide distance and onsite support of software problems.
• Prepare and maintain new and/or existing software requirements.
• Write, review, and maintain technical documentation such as user manuals, product specifications, and training materials.
