Job summary

Amentum is seeking a highly motivated Junior Naval Systems Security Engineer with a focus on SSE for Navy surface major weapon, combat, and fire control systems. The role supports system security engineering methods and documentation across complex naval platforms.

Responsibilities include design, integration, and protection of critical systems, PPP development, and stakeholder coordination. Active Secret clearance is required, with US citizenship for clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering, science, or technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of engineering/science experience or related program analysis experience in weapon, combat, or fire control systems.
• Must have an active Secret U.S. Government clearance; U.S. citizenship required to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in development, integration, and management of naval surface weapons and combat defense systems.
• Create system design and integration documentation for weapons control and surface combat systems.
• Design and implement SSE measures to prevent unauthorized access to critical technologies.
• Integrate hardware/software protection into major weapons and fire control systems.
• Develop PPPs and other security-related documentation.
• Derive, allocate, and manage requirements for weapon control systems and external interfaces.
• Coordinate impacts of system changes with internal/external stakeholders.
