Job summary

Amentum is seeking a motivated Junior Naval Systems Security Engineer with experience in Navy surface major weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems to support security engineering methodologies and services.

The role focuses on developing, integrating, and documenting system designs for weapons control and surface combat, while implementing SSE measures to deter unauthorized access. Active Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of engineering/science experience or equivalent in weapon/ combat system programs, requirements, design parameters, risks, or post-delivery support.
• Active Secret U.S. Government clearance; U.S. citizenship required to obtain the clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in development, integration, and management of naval surface weapons and combat defense systems.
• Prepare system design and integration documentation for weapons control systems and surface combat, control, and situational awareness systems.
• Design and implement SSE measures to prevent unauthorized access to critical technologies.
• Integrate hardware and software protection into major weapons and fire control systems.
• Develop Program Protection Plans (PPP) and other security docs.
• Perform requirements derivation, allocation, and management for weapon control systems and external interfaces.
• Coordinate impacts of system changes with internal/external stakeholders.
