Job summary

International Systems Management Corp. (ISM) seeks a Junior/Journey-Level Systems Engineer to support the US Navy with expert knowledge of combat weapons systems on surface and subsurface platforms.

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Math/Science and at least one year of professional experience are required. The role emphasizes problem definition, systems integration, and rigorous technical analysis, with travel and DoD clearance prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math or Science Discipline.
• At least 1 year of professional experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Design studies and evaluations related to research, development, production and operations.
• Review and provide feedback on technical documentation submissions to the program office.
• Provide program engineering and technical support for problem definition, analysis, requirements development and implementation for complex systems.
• Assess and recommend system development improvements, optimization, and support efforts.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for cost, schedule and technical issues.
• Support identification, tracking and resolution of systems engineering issues related to interfaces and design improvements.
• Prepare technical presentations and papers for design reviews and boards.
• Coordinate with program office stakeholders as needed.
