Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a Military Marine Systems Engineer to provide engineering and analytical support to U.S. Navy Surface Ship Fleet, focusing on DDG 1000 class platforms.

The role requires an active DoW Secret clearance and involves collaboration with Navy technical communities and Serco SMEs to deliver readiness and improvements. Responsibilities include lifecycle management, maintenance planning, and coordination across Navy and contractor stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret security clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years relevant work experience or High School Diploma/GED with minimum 4 years of relevant DDG 1000 experience.
• Experience with Navy DDG 1000 electrical shipboard principles preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering, technical, and analytical support for DDG 1000 shipboard HM&E systems and other U.S. Navy combatant surface ships.
• Analyze equipment failures, casualty reports, and maintenance actions; develop technical findings and corrective actions.
• Perform lifecycle engineering assessments including sustainment and modernization considerations.
• Develop and review technical documentation and installation procedures.
• Prepare advisory messages and coordinate with Navy stakeholders on fleet issues.
