Job summary

Serco Inc. in the United States is seeking an HM&E Systems Engineer to support U.S. Navy surface ships, delivering technical oversight, lifecycle management, and maintenance planning.

The role requires an active DoW Secret clearance, a relevant engineering degree or equivalent Naval experience, and the ability to coordinate across naval and contractor teams. Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Navy systems is expected.

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree; or HS diploma with 4 years naval shipboard experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. Navy ship configuration, management principles, processes, and activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for HM&E systems on U.S. Navy surface ships.
• Lifecycle management, maintenance planning, and readiness actions across ship classes.
• Analyze equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop technical documentation, briefings, and advisory messages.
• Coordinate with Navy and contractor stakeholders across multiple entities.
