Job summary

Amentum seeks a Software Simulation Engineer to enhance modeling and simulation design for Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems. You will contribute to hardware/software integration, development environments, and toolchains, ensuring high-quality software releases.

The role requires strong CM knowledge, 5 years of embedded software integration experience, proficiency in C/C++, and experience with GIT and Windows/UNIX environments. Active SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/Math or related field.
• Strong CM knowledge and release management experience.
• 5 years of software integration for embedded weapon/combat system with CM disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Support hardware/software integration efforts.
• Conduct independent assessments of software development and data models.
• Support integration, troubleshooting, and deployment of emulators/simulators.
• Participate in reviews, technical interchange meetings, and software life-cycle activities.
• Provide regular status to leadership, identify risks, and work proactively.
• Prepare software deliveries, Version Description or delivery documents, and CM material.
• Perform CM on UNIX/LINUX platforms using UNIX/LINUX tools.
• Modify systems on Windows; build and distribute software including build procedures, QA checks, and CM processes.
