Job summary

General Dynamics IT seeks a Shipbuilding Project/Task Supervisor for waterfront shipboard construction and re-modernization aboard U.S. Naval ships in Seattle, WA.

This is not an office position; you will work in shipyards and drydocks performing the listed tasks. You will provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership, supervise staff, develop project plans, coordinate deliverables, and liaise with the customer, vendors, and government partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience
• US Citizenship required
• Ability to work in shipyards and drydocks onboard US Navy ships
• Experience coordinating with customers, vendors and government staff

Responsibilities

• Lead technical, administrative, and operational tasks including contract management
• Supervise assigned staff
• Help develop technical plans, proposals, reports, and task orders
• May perform high-level technical services on tasks
• Plan workload and advise customer on task requirements
• Attend customer meetings and act as primary customer liaison
• Interface with vendors, agencies, and government staff
• Coordinate development of deliverables and products
• Ensure quality assurance of deliverables
• Participate in special projects as required
