Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician III for waterfront shipboard construction and re-modernization, stationed at customer sites within shipyards and drydocks on U.S. Naval ships.

The role involves working in varied temperatures and environments. The incumbent will install, maintain, repair, overhaul, test, and modify electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment; troubleshoot; provide guidance and documentation; and collaborate with engineering

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, tests electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and related devices.
• Applies electronics knowledge to put equipment in operation and solve problems.
• Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions using test equipment.
• Modifies circuitry to improve performance.
• Provides operation and maintenance instruction to customer personnel.
• Prepares operating and malfunction reports and related documentation.
• Assists engineering staff in solving equipment design problems.
• May provide leadership to less-experienced technicians.
• Participates in special projects as required.
