Job summary

United Support Services, Inc. seeks a seasoned Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician for our berthing barge and Portsmouth Naval Base facility near Kittery, Maine. You will service, install, and repair environmental-control systems aboard U.S. Navy vessels and related facilities.

Requires shipboard AC&R experience, security clearance, EPA certifications, and a valid driver's license. This full-time, non-exempt role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Security Clearance.
• Must have valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a government background check and obtain base access credentials.
• EPA Type I/II/III and Universal Certification.
• EPA Section 608 Certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair environmental-control systems on berthing and messing craft.
• Read blueprints, manuals, and specifications for repair procedures.
• Mount, wire, and test HVAC components using hand and power tools.
• Perform diagnostics and preventive maintenance aboard naval vessels.
• Respond to urgent maintenance calls and work with minimal supervision.
