Job summary

Tridentis is seeking a Marine Engineer with ship control systems experience to support quality engineering deliverables for the U.S. Navy, MSC, and USCG. Design, analyze, and deliver system designs for marine vessels while interfacing with clients and internal teams.

The role requires experience with Navy/USCG/MSC vessels, MCCS knowledge, and a Secret clearance. Occasional travel (10%) to support domestic and international projects is expected.

Qualifications

  • Engineering experience with U.S. Navy, USCG, or MSC vessels.
  • Experience in shipboard systems, ideally MCCS or related integration.
  • Understanding propulsion, power, auxiliary, and alarm/monitoring interfaces on Navy vessels.
  • Ability to interface with clients effectively.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent communication skills with clear technical insight and recommendations.
  • BS/BE in Marine Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical/Naval Architecture or related field.
  • Must be able to maintain or obtain a Secret level security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve engineering and technical deliverables.
  • Perform engineering analysis using various tools.
  • Assure quality of all engineering deliverables.
  • Provide technical review and feedback on propulsion, auxiliary systems, power, alarms, and shipboard controls.
  • Interface directly with clients.
  • Draft input for program documentation, reports, and recommendations.
  • Assist the PM in business development and customer relations.
  • Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
