Job summary

Tridentis, a privately held marine engineering firm, seeks a Marine Engineer with ship control systems experience to design, analyze, and deliver system designs for naval vessels and related programs.

The role requires collaboration with a small team, review of technical deliverables, and interfacing with clients including the U.S. Navy, MSC, and USCG. Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally; security clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

  • BS/BE in Marine Engineering or related field is required.
  • Experience with U.S. Navy/USCG/MSC vessels is required.
  • Strong understanding of how propulsion, power, and alarm systems interface aboard Navy vessels.
  • Ability to interface with clients effectively and present technical insight.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve engineering and technical deliverables.
  • Perform engineering analysis using a variety of tools.
  • Ensure quality assurance of all engineering deliverables.
  • Provide technical input for propulsion, power, and shipboard controls integration.
  • Interface directly with clients and draft program documentation.
  • Assist in business development and customer relations.
  • Expect up to 10% travel (domestic and international).
