Job summary

The University of Texas at Applied Research Laboratories at Pickle Research Campus is seeking a Communications Systems Technical Project Manager to oversee Navy acoustic and RF initiatives within the Advanced Technology Laboratory. You will coordinate with ATSD engineering and manage complex development and testing activities.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, five years of project management, and the ability to document technical progress for stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, mechanical, software engineering or related field.
  • Experience with RF communications systems and networks.
  • Five years of project management experience.
  • Three years of leading engineering teams.
  • Ability to document, maintain and present technical information to stakeholders.
  • US citizen and eligible for government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with ATSD engineering to develop, document and execute technical plans; maintain schedule and progress.
  • Lead technical systems evaluation of engineering development plans against requirements.
  • Oversee ATSD project execution including fabrication, integration, testing and support of undersea sensing and communications tech.
  • Prepare and present test event details and results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist ATSD Program Managers with staffing by identifying candidates and hiring full-time engineers.
