Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Project Manager in Norfolk, VA to lead multi-discipline engineering tasks, coordinating with the PM, site supervisor, and government customer. The role requires budgeting, planning, scheduling, and documentation across all project phases.

You will ensure projects stay within scope and on schedule, perform preplanning for AIT projects, and manage subcontractors and materials while reporting progress weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field or equivalent experience; at least 7 years of program or project management experience.
• Knowledge of project management principles; ability to resolve conflicts and manage risks to meet budgets and schedules.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and status delivery of projects.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and strong communication skills.
• Working knowledge of drawings, shipyard and Navy operations, NAVSEA instructions, and AIT contractor knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Direct liaison between Program Manager, Site Supervisor, government customer, host shipyard, ships force, subcontractors and vendors.
• Plan, budget, execute, monitor, control, and document all aspects of assigned projects.
• Work with Program Manager to keep projects within scope and on schedule.
• Preplan upcoming AIT projects, create QA Workbook, estimate work, and develop work plans.
• Ensure quality of personnel on projects and track subcontractor/vendor hours.
• Research, BOM creation, purchasing, tracking, and kitting of project material; move material as needed.
• Produce and maintain integrated schedules and report weekly progress.
• Establish manning requirements and manage RMMCO check-in/out for projects.
• Attend meetings as required.
