Job summary

The Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems business in Menomonee Falls, WI is seeking a Program Manager to direct daily execution of contract requirements, ensure cost, schedule and performance goals are met on development programs, and interface with customers.

Responsibilities include leading bid activities, managing budgets, mitigating risks, and coordinating with Business Development and senior management. A Bachelor’s in Engineering plus 5+ years PM exp is required; PMP/DAU preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Knowledge of program management tools; familiarity with the defense industry preferred.
• Experience across the full program lifecycle from development to sustainment.
• Experience with earned value cost accounting and program metrics.
• Strong customer service, problem solving and presentation skills.
• PM certification (PMP/DAU) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide interface, communication and coordination with internal and external customers on matters pertaining to existing contracts.
• Serve as the primary interface with the customer on all matters involving contract execution.
• Participate as a team member or leader on bid and proposal activities and ensure that the requirements of the RFP are met in bids and proposals.
• Actively seek new business opportunities in coordination with Business Development.
• Represent management at program reviews, meetings, seminars, etc.
• Prepare for and participate in contract/subcontract negotiations; ensure regulatory guidance is adhered to.
• Develop and implement plans and schedules to execute contracts/subcontracts; allocate and control budgets.
• Formally identify, assess, monitor and mitigate risk throughout the program life cycle.
• Notify and seek senior management assistance in resolving schedule and budget problems; implement corrective actions.
• Perform variance analysis of schedule and cost and present to senior management (earned value).
• Provide leadership to program or project team and resolve conflicts.
