Job summary

Precise Systems, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and execute complex mechanical and environmental survivability test programs for naval and defense systems with the U.S. Navy. This role requires in-person support.

The candidate will design and conduct testing using servo-hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems, develop methodologies, analyze results, and report findings to government, military, and academic partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field with lab or test experience.
  • Four years in engineering materials testing, development, design, or evaluation.
  • Experience with mechanical, structural, corrosion, vibration, fatigue, durability, or survivability testing.
  • Familiarity with servo-hydraulic test systems and instrumentation.
  • Experience with data acquisition systems, sensors, stress-strain measurement, accelerometers, and test automation.
  • Experience supporting government defense programs and clear communication of results.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute complex mechanical and environmental survivability test programs for naval and defense-related systems.
  • Plan and conduct testing using servo-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, and other test systems.
  • Develop test methodologies, instrumentation plans, procedures, and data acquisition strategies.
  • Analyze test results and provide technical assessments, recommendations, and formal reports.
  • Collaborate with Government, military, contractor, and academic partners on R&D efforts.
  • Support system qualification, technology maturation, and performance validation activities.
  • Assist in planning and managing research and test programs from concept through completion.
