Job summary
QED Systems Inc. is seeking a Logistics and Material Specialist to manage procurement, receipt, inventory control, and material issuance for NAVAL operations at Norfolk, VA. You will work with government procedures, prepare reports, and support CVN availability planning.
The role requires a secret clearance, a strong background in government contracting, and proficiency with GCPC, FEDLOG, FEDMALL and related systems. On-site work with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications
- Ten years or more in material management for CVN readiness.
- Experience planning material management during CVN availability.
- Experience preparing material requests for CVN readiness.
- Ability to assign priority to material requisitions to meet schedules.
- Experience in shipping or custody transfers for naval materials.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance or modernization availability planning for CVN.
- On-site training for ship's force on material requirements.
- Administer material acquisition processes to support fleet needs.
- Coordinate input/output functions to ensure data meets needs.
