Job summary

Input Technology Solutions is seeking an Operational Support Specialist to join the Fleet Reachback Support team in Dahlgren, VA. The role provides expert analytic and operational reach-back support to answer RFIs/RFAs from COCOMs, NFCs, SMWDC staff, and fleet stakeholders.

Responsibilities include monitoring ongoing operations, assessing threats, and producing validated guidance updates for time-sensitive fleet decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting operational-level Navy or Joint operations, including reach-back support or fleet staff functions.
• Experience producing and staffing analytic products in response to RFIs/RFAs with drafting, editing and validation.
• Knowledge of fleet operations monitoring (tasking, schedules, readiness reporting, CASREPs).
• Familiarity with Navy/Joint tactical publications (TACMEMO, OPTASK, JPs, NWPs, NTTP).
• Strong analytical writing skills for time-sensitive environments.
• Ability to coordinate with technical and operational organizations across government and fleet stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytic support for operational reach-back requirements to address RFIs/RFAs.
• Evaluate and coordinate recommendations with technical, analytical, and operational organizations.
• Develop, edit, validate, and verify RFI/RFA response products for accuracy and relevance.
• Support 24/7 operations surge requests for emergent or combat operations.
• Monitor fleet operations, tasking, schedules, readiness and casualty reporting.
