Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Mid-Level Financial Analyst in Arlington, VA to provide financial management support to the Portfolio Acquisition Executive for the Munitions PMX-311 RAM/CIWS programs. The role involves budgeting, execution, and cost reporting with Navy/DoD programs.

The successful candidate will work with the Government Financial team, travel as needed, and hold a Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience. A SECRET clearance is required or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years financial support experience with Navy/DoD programs.
  • Proficient in MS Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented capabilities supporting senior leadership.
  • Must be able to obtain a SECRET US Government Clearance. US Citizenship required.
  • Familiarity with Navy budgeting and execution tools including ERP and NEPS.
  • Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for programming, budgeting and execution support with day-to-day communication and interface with the Government Financial team.
  • Support program execution activities across SCN, RDT&E, OM&N, WPN, OPN and Army funding appropriations.
  • Utilize and maintain financial management tools to track funding, execution status and current obligations and expenditures by task, appropriation and activity.
  • Prepare financial data and documentation for budget requirements/changes, Program Plan Execution, monthly status reports and other financial reports.
  • Execute and track funding, spend plan development, and detailed cost reporting and analysis using the latest DoW/Navy financial systems.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving financial execution issues such as missed benchmarks, emerging requirements, budget shortfalls, and funds availability.
  • Prepare Financial Manager execution/obligation reports on the status of program appropriations.
  • Lead the effort for support task planning preparation utilizing the NAVSEA Enterprise Planning System (NEPS) Task Planning Sheets (TPS) process.
