Job summary

SA-TECH's Marine Maintenance Team at Naval Station Norfolk, VA is seeking a Marine Electronics Technician to support DoD programs, maintaining and repairing naval electronics, navigation and communications systems on patrol craft and support vessels.

The role requires a high school diploma, Navy/Coast Guard electronics training preferred, ABYC certification, and six years of maritime electronics experience; ability to obtain a DoD security clearance; strong teamwork and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Navy or Coast Guard electronics training highly desirable.
• ABYC Marine Electrical Certification highly desired.
• Minimum of six years of maritime electronics repair experience.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and pass background screening.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair marine electronics, navigation, and communications on naval vessels.
• Install, service and test electronic systems onboard ships and craft.
• Read, interpret and apply technical directives and schematics.
• Work in a team environment and coordinate with other technicians.
• Maintain electrical safety and reliability of systems in marine environments.
