Job summary

OptimERA inc in Seattle seeks a Field Service Technician to install, repair, and maintain maritime electronics across regional vessels. This full-time role blends on-site and shipboard work, coordinating with customers and internal teams to keep critical systems mission-ready in demanding environments.

You will service navigation, communications, and safety systems, communicate findings to stakeholders, and travel to vessels as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience performing technical field service, preferably in maritime or industrial environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, critical-thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging technical staff, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, and maintain a variety of electronics systems including navigation, communications, safety, and fisheries-specific systems.
  • Integrate systems across multiple manufacturers and technologies.
  • Communicate investigative findings to stakeholders to determine the next step.
  • Comply with safety regulations, maritime industry standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate to improve outdated service models and leverage OptimERA capabilities.
