A minimum of three years of “journeyman level” experience within the last five years in troubleshooting, repairing or testing Navy ship systems is required. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with background.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of journeyman level experience within the last five years in troubleshooting, repairing or testing U.S. Navy ship systems.
• Experience leading technicians or teams on complex repair/test projects.
• Experience documenting findings in official reports and records.
• Proficiency with workload databases such as Microsoft Office, Navy Maintenance Database (NMD), eDFS, NSEDR and TAAS-Info.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting, repair or testing of Navy ship systems as part of a team or independently.
• Perform formal material condition assessments (TSRA, ICMP, INSURV or similar) of ship systems.
• Communicate findings through official reports and documentation.
• Interpret naval engineering drawings and electrical diagrams; coordinate with maintenance teams.
