Job summary

Supply Chain Management Inc.1.com (SCMI1), based in Mayport, FL, seeks an Engineering Technician VI with an Electronics specialization to support the United States Navy, SERMC in Mayport, FL.

A minimum of three years of “journeyman level” experience within the last five years in troubleshooting, repairing or testing Navy ship systems is required. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with background.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of journeyman level experience within the last five years in troubleshooting, repairing or testing U.S. Navy ship systems.
• Experience leading technicians or teams on complex repair/test projects.
• Experience documenting findings in official reports and records.
• Proficiency with workload databases such as Microsoft Office, Navy Maintenance Database (NMD), eDFS, NSEDR and TAAS-Info.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting, repair or testing of Navy ship systems as part of a team or independently.
• Perform formal material condition assessments (TSRA, ICMP, INSURV or similar) of ship systems.
• Communicate findings through official reports and documentation.
• Interpret naval engineering drawings and electrical diagrams; coordinate with maintenance teams.

Supply Chain Management Inc.1.com (SCMI1), http://www.scmi1.com, has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician VI with an Electronics specialization supporting the United States Navy, Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC) in Mayport, FL.

A minimum of three years of “journeyman level” experience within the last five years in each area (1) through (4) below:

General Experience:

• (1) Independently or leading a team of technicians troubleshooting, repairing or testing U.S. Navy ship structural, mechanical or electrical equipment/systems.
• (2) Independently or leading a team accomplishing formal material condition assessments (Ex. TSRA, ICMP, INSURV or similar) of U.S. Navy ship’s systems.
• (3) Communicating the findings of the above troubleshooting/assessments with official reports.
• (4) Documented experience with the following, or similar, workload databases: Microsoft Office products, Navy Maintenance Database (NMD), Electronic Departure From Specifications (eDFS), Navy Ship’s Engineering Drawing Repository (NSEDR) and TAAS-Info.

Specific Experience:

• (1) Assessment and oversight of repair of U.S. Navy ships’ propulsion control systems.
• (2) Interpreting naval engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.
