Job summary

ORBIS Inc. in San Diego seeks an Engineering Technician (Electrical) to support maintenance, overhaul and repair of Navy carrier and surface ship equipment. The role includes on-board work, training Ship's Force operators, and providing technical guidance across HM&E, C4I, and related systems.

The ideal candidate will have eight years in naval electrical maintenance, read blueprints, and demonstrate leadership. U.S. citizenship and a secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years experience in operation, repair, and maintenance of naval hull, mechanical, electrical or electronic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or other mechanical data.
• Two (2) years experience in a team leader or supervisor role.
• Associate Degree can substitute for up to two years of technician experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• A secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and planning for overhaul and repair of Navy equipment on carriers and surface ships.
• Provide technical guidance and training to Ship's Force operators and maintenance staff.
• Perform duties on board US Naval vessels in San Diego, CA.
• Assist with safe and compliant operations and logistics.
