Job summary

SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager/Superintendent in Mechanicsburg, PA. The role focuses on coordinating quality control and safety for Navy/DoD projects, interfacing with the Navy CM and multiple contractors on site.

The position requires 5+ years as a Quality Control Manager on NAVFAC/USACE projects or 10+ years foreman experience in concrete, mechanical, electrical, masonry, or carpentry on commercial/industrial/military projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Quality Control Manager on NAVFAC/USACE projects.
• Alternatively, 10+ years foreman in Concrete/Mechanical/Electrical/Masonry/Carpentry on commercial/industrial/military projects.
• Possess, or be able to obtain, a Certificate of Completion for the US Army Corps of Engineers “Construction Quality Management for Contractors” course.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall coordination of the construction quality management program for assigned projects, plus provide regular and timely status reports to the Government sponsor.
• Review and provide recommendations toward approval of contractor-submitted quality control plans with the Navy CM.
• Attend selective quality control, preparatory and initial meetings, and monitor three-phase checklists for accuracy.
• Take notes on Government QA/contractor QC remarks and ensure critical features of work are captured.
• Coordinate photos at work sites and validate materials on site before government payments.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning of critical systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, fire/life safety).
• Maintain contact with contractor reps to promote cooperation and keep schedules on track.
