Job summary

Coakley & Williams Construction is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead and execute project quality control programs on construction projects and manage submittal and RFI processes from startup through closeout.

The role serves as the primary QA/QC coordination point, enforcing safety, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with NAVFAC and USACE requirements. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in construction-related field (structural/mechanical/electrical) preferred.
• 3+ years coordinating submittals and QC inspections; 5+ years construction management.
• Strong NAVFAC and USACE QC knowledge.
• OSHA 30, CQM, First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Prolog, Bluebeam; familiarity with Primavera scheduling and BIM.
• Strong written and verbal communications; ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Enforce the company safety program and ensure compliance with laws.
• Implement and maintain the Quality Control Program across projects.
• Lead Phase I preparatory meetings for definable features of work and review requirements.
• Lead Phase II initial inspections for materials, personnel, and equipment.
• Oversee Phase III follow-up inspections throughout construction.
• Manage submittal and RFI processes, including logging and distribution.
• Document owner/subcontractor/QA meetings and issue minutes.
• Maintain electronic as-built drawings and red-lines.
• Coordinate closeout documentation and punch-out processes.
• Utilize construction tech and software to complete projects.
