Job summary

Foxhole Technology is seeking a Hardware Rack Specialist / SME to support design, integration, and sustainment of shipboard hardware rack configurations for the Navy’s CANES program. The role covers rack architecture, cabling, power, cooling, grounding, documentation, and installation readiness for shipboard and lab environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, electronics, logistics, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• Significant experience designing, integrating, installing, or sustaining rack-mounted IT and Navy/DoD environments.
• Experience with shipboard IT infrastructure including racks, power distribution, cabling, and installation docs.
• Ability to interpret system diagrams, installation drawings, and engineering change documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for rack-level hardware planning, design, and installation support.
• Develop, review, and validate rack layouts, cable routing, power distribution, and grounding.
• Support translation of architecture and cybersecurity requirements into deployable rack configurations.
• Evaluate rack designs for shipboard suitability including space, weight, and cooling.
• Collaborate with government, contractor, vendor, shipyard, and fleet stakeholders.
