Job summary

Solvere Technical Group is seeking a Naval Architect to provide technical support and documentation for ship feasibility, concept, preliminary and contract design, integration, stability analysis, hydrodynamic and seakeeping properties.

The role requires familiarity with naval architecture software to perform ship and design analyses and to develop system documentation and ship specifications for surface assets and boats.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' progressive experience in Naval Architecture disciplines.
• Secret clearance or higher required.
• Onsite work in Washington DC 2-3 days per week with remaining remote days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct stability analyses, assist inclining experiments and weight/stability tests, and oversee design development.
• Experience with computer applications relating to naval architecture and ship design.
• Experience with corrosion principles of metals for surface assets and boats.
• Familiarity with USN, USCG, IACS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
