An exciting opportunity has arisen as Naval Architect/Ship Designer in our world-class Ship Design Solutions team. Kongsberg Ship Design has a proud history of more than 50 years and has delivered over 1000 vessels, offering a wide portfolio of ship designs. As a Naval Architect within the offshore energy and specialized vessels portfolio, your main responsibilities will include developing vessels within the UT-Design range. The role involves close cooperation with customers and sales teams, covering R&D tasks, tender documentation development, and follow-up during construction.

You will be part of multidisciplinary project teams, and strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop our vessel portfolio within the UT-Design and NVC-Design ranges.
• Develop General Arrangements, vessel specifications, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate supporting teams.
• Drive decarbonization efforts within our vessel range.
• Support sales and customer activities.
• Communicate with shipyards, flag authorities, agencies, and classification societies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master's or Bachelor's degree.
• Relevant experience from yards, classification societies, or consultancy (>3-5 years).
• Experience is beneficial but not mandatory; we are committed to training and developing new Naval Architects. Candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply.
