ODC Network is seeking an Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher to support a high-quality, nature-based preschool program for children from birth to kindergarten entry, across Allegan and Ottawa County. You will work with Lead Teachers to implement developmentally appropriate activities and ensure outdoor time in all weather.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Willingness to achieve an Infant/Toddler CDA.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather.
  • Must pass Michigan background check including fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as assistant for assigned classes.
  • Lead and participate in nature/classroom activities and outdoor learning.
  • Change diapers/pull ups and manage potty training.
  • Plan age-appropriate activities with Lead Teacher and other Assistants.
  • Assist with organizing outdoor/indoor classrooms and learning resources.
  • Participate in large group activities, nature hikes, and explorations.
  • Complete daily anecdotal notes.
  • Communicate with parents about child development and daily experiences.
  • Document child’s day using the Procare App.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development events.
