Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate environmental permitting for projects and programs supporting NiSource and Columbia Gas of Virginia.
• Coordinate environmental activities to ensure 100% compliance and verify conformance with plans through field investigations.
• Collaborate with business partners to align operational needs with environmental risk mitigation.
• Maintain knowledge of current environmental regulations and regulatory processes.
• Analyze and interpret environmental rules, policies and guidelines to meet requirements.
• Oversee environmental surveys, reports, and permitting preparations.
• Work with construction teams to meet compliance goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead meetings and calls with internal and external stakeholders including contractors and agencies.
• Support and implement proactive environmental systems and programs.
• Identify opportunities for environmental continuous improvement through existing systems and processes.
• Coordinate with multiple levels and partners to plan action using change management tools.
• Provide clear communication to stakeholders on project status.
