Job summary

You will partner with field personnel and external agencies to ensure compliance, communicate status, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety and regulatory alignment. Travel 5–25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or related field; equivalent experience may substitute.
• 3–5 years of relevant environmental experience.
• Knowledge of natural resources permitting in Virginia for energy projects.
• Understanding of energy industry operations.
• Strong learning agility and adaptability.
• Self-directed with ability to work independently.
• Team-oriented with consensus-building skills.
• Good judgment and professional communication.
• Proficient with spreadsheets and word processing.
• Experience directing third-party consultants.
• Familiarity with project management basics.
• Travel approximately 5–25%.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 100% compliance through required environmental activities and investigations.

• Oversee environmental surveys, reports, and permits.
• Collaborate with construction teams to achieve compliance goals.

• Identify opportunities for continuous environmental improvement.
• Coordinate with multiple levels and partners for action planning.
• Communicate project status clearly to stakeholders.
