Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Environmental Science, or related field; equivalent work experience may be substituted.
• 3-5 years relevant experience required.
• Knowledge of natural resources permitting requirements in Indiana for energy projects.
• Understanding of energy industry operations.
• Experience directing third party consultants.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate environmental permitting for projects and programs supporting NiSource.
• Coordinate field investigations to verify conformance with plans.
• Align environmental risk management with business needs and constraints.
• Maintain knowledge of current environmental regulations and regulatory processes.
• Analyze environmental rules and guidelines to meet requirements.
• Oversee environmental surveys, reports, and assessments.
• Partner with field personnel to achieve compliance goals and provide improvement recommendations.
• Lead meetings and training with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support and implement environmental systems and programs.
• Identify opportunities for environmental continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with multiple levels and partners to enable action planning.
• Provide clear communication to stakeholders on project status.
• Be a self-starter and work independently or in a team.
