Job summary

Goldman Sachs in New York is seeking a Private Investment Banking Associate in the Natural Resources group to support advisory work, capital raising and complex transactions for clients in the metals, mining, energy and infrastructure sectors.

You will build financial models, prepare client presentations, and coordinate with tax, legal and banker teams as you develop relationships across regions and help drive negotiations and execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' investment banking or equivalent experience.
• History of outstanding academic and professional achievement.
• Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members in multiple groups and regions.
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
• Ability to juggle changing priorities and a varied workload.
• Natural Resources banking and transaction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Associates play an important role in developing and strengthening client relationships and participating on advisory teams.
• Prepare and analyze financial models, organize and prepare client presentations, help manage transaction processes, and assist in structuring transactions.
• Coordinate with tax advisors, attorneys and bankers for various transactions; lead due diligence and participate in negotiations of legal documentation.
