Job summary

San Dieguito River Park JPA seeks a Natural Resources & Conservation Manager to plan, coordinate, and implement programs described in the Concept and Trail & Management plan, including natural resource management, habitat restoration, and climate adaptation.

The role acts as the agency's technical lead on ecological stewardship, regulatory permitting, and environmental planning, guiding restoration projects and conservation strategies for long-term goals.

Job description

DEFINITION

Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Natural Resources & Conservation Manager plans, coordinates, and implements the San Dieguito River Park JPA’s programs and projects contained within the Concept and Trail & Management plan including but not limited to: natural resource management, habitat restoration, invasive species management, environmental compliance, grant programs, climate adaptation initiatives and wildfire resilience efforts. This position serves as the agency's technical lead on ecological stewardship, regulatory permitting, environmental planning, restoration project management, and implementation of resource management strategies that support the San Dieguito River Park's mission and long-term conservation goals.
