Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking a Natural Gas Project Manager to lead the ICE team in improving infrastructure across Michigan offices. Requires a Civil/Environmental engineering degree and 5+ years in natural gas design, with Autodesk Civil 3D experience.

The role offers a flexible hybrid-remote schedule after 30 days and opportunities to drive design excellence, client relationships, and business development within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in natural gas distribution/design and infrastructure.
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of government regulations related to gas distribution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and grow design team of gas distribution systems.
• Manage project proposals development including positioning, approach, and pricing.
• Manage project execution including scope, schedule and budget.
• Deliver projects to clients on time and under budget while meeting expectations.
• Provide design/technical expertise and coordinate with technical leads.
• Coordinate design activities with project team members.
• Ensure staff have the knowledge and tools to complete tasks.
• Maintain lasting client relationships and drive business development.
• Supervise QA/QC reviews and project reporting/presentations.
• Attend client, staff and project meetings; review plans and specifications.
• Estimate fees and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain a safe working environment.

Position Description

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental (or a related engineering field) and five or more years of experience in natural gas distribution systems/design, natural gas infrastructure, regulator station design, high pressure steel, compression, and government regulations is required. Must have experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.

Typical responsibilities include

• Oversee and grow design team of gas distribution systems
• Responsible for project proposal development including positioning, approach, preparation and pricing
• Responsible for project execution including scope, schedule and budget
• Manage resources to successfully deliver project to client on time and under budget whilemeeting or exceeding client expectations
• Provide design/technical expertise to project and/or coordinate as necessary with technical leads
• Coordinate the design function with various team members on the project
• Ensure employees have knowledge and tools to complete tasks
• Maintain lasting client relationships
• Generate additional sales through business development activities
• Supervise project review (QA/QC) meetings
• Assist with project reports and technical presentations
• Attend client, staff and project meetings
• Estimate fees, review project plans and specification
• Maintain a safe working environment

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Environment (or related engineering field) is required

Skills/Experience

• 5 or more years of experience in natural gas distribution systems/design, natural gas infrastructure, regulator station design, high pressure steel, compression, and government regulations is required
• Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software configurations and familiarity is required
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D is required
• Experience with CadWorx or Autodesk Plant 3D is a plus
• Compression station design experience is a plus
• Horizontal directional drill (HDD) modeling is a plus
