Job summary

Atmos Energy is seeking personnel for field construction and maintenance tasks related to natural gas lines, meters and regulators. The role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions and adherence to safety procedures.

Candidates will perform basic duties, assist with installations, and maintain records while complying with regulations. A valid driver's license and pre/post-employment screenings are required as part of a safety-sensitive position.

Qualifications

• Requires a general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a GED.
• Requires valid driver's license in accordance with Company standards.
• Requires ability to utilize the Company's internet/intranet site for data entry, reference and retrieval tasks.
• Requires the ability to communicate with internal/external customers to obtain and/or provide basic information.
• As a safety-sensitive position, pre and post-employment screenings, including but not limited to DOT/PHMSA and MVR background checks, are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic, routine work using clearly prescribed procedures and seeks guidance for deviations.
• Assists in the installation and maintenance of natural gas lines, meters and regulators.
• May assist in conducting leakage surveys.
• Completes and maintains accurate records and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
• May be required to hold stand-by duty, work shifts, holidays and weekends, and emergency call outs.
• Identifies and reports safety and encroachment issues to resolution and completion.
• Responsible for the safe operation and inspection of company vehicles and equipment.
